How do they operate? Each Dress for Success affiliate location is a member of Dress for Success Worldwide and is an independent non-profit organisation with its own policies, staff and board of directors. The Worldwide office licenses the Dress for Success name to affiliates, all of whom fulfill the overall mission of helping women journey towards self-sufficiency. Affiliates provide services to their communities based on local needs, cultural traditions and resources.
  • What is Dress for Success Worldwide? Located in New York City, Dress for Success Worldwide was established to oversee and provide support to our affiliates around the globe.   • Are clothing and financial donations to Dress for Success tax deductible? How do I obtain a receipt?All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Donation receipts are sent automatically.
  • Is there an organisation like Dress for Success for men?Dress for Work is a program of Metro Assist which was established in response to clients experiencing financial hardship. The program provides immediate and practical support to men seeking employment. https://dressforwork.org.au
  • What type of clothing and products does Dress for Success accept?To ensure that an article of clothing or suit is appropriate for our clients, ask yourself if you would feel comfortable wearing it on an interview, at your first day in the office or out to lunch with friends. If the answer is yes, then we would accept it.   • How can I become a volunteer? What volunteer opportunities are available in my community? Dress for Success is a volunteer-driven organisation.  Simply put, the individuals who donate their time and talent to us make it possible for us to fulfill our mission.  
  • My company would like to donate new merchandise to Dress for Success. Whom do I contact? Please contact us on info@dfssydney.org to discuss what we need. Thanks for thinking of us.
  • Will my local affiliate pick up my donation? Dress for Success is a volunteer-run organisation, and most locations simply do not have the necessary resources or staff to provide this service. Please contact your local affiliate for more information about its donation policies.
