Emily Bates joins Dress for Success Sydney’s Board of Directors

The Chair of Dress for Success Sydney, Robyn de Szoeke, today announced the appointment of Emily Bates as a Non-Executive Director to the Board.

In addition to governance of the organisation, Ms Bates will have a special focus on the marketing strategy of Dress for Success Sydney.

Ms Bates is an award-winning marketer and leading expert on positioning brands to become an integral part of people’s lives. She’s most recently been the Head of Marketing Excellence, Wealth Management at the Commonwealth Bank. An active leader in the marketing industry, she judges a number of industry awards programs and mentors the marketers of the future.

Ms de Szoeke said: “2019 is an exciting year for Dress for Success Sydney as we celebrate our 10th anniversary of changing women’s lives. I am delighted to welcome Emily as a Director. This is a pivotal role for us as we expand our reach to vulnerable women across NSW empowering them to achieve financial independence.”

Ms Bates said: “As someone who’s passionate about the role of working women, I’m excited to be supporting the great work Dress for Success does to help women in crisis get into the workforce. I’m a huge believer in the difference looking and feeling confident can make in a woman’s career and the role all women have in supporting one other towards our shared success.”
